South Dakota markets we serve

Sioux Falls

The state’s largest city and its healthcare and financial centre. The University of Sioux Falls and Augustana University are both here, and the suburbs keep pushing outward.

Rapid City and the Black Hills

Rapid City, Box Elder, Spearfish, Sturgis and Custer. Ellsworth Air Force Base is just east of the city, and the Hills bring a steady flow of visitors and retirees.

Brookings

South Dakota State University, and a small city that holds its value well.

Aberdeen and the Northeast

Northern State University and a regional hub for agriculture and manufacturing.

Watertown and the I-29 Corridor

Lakes, manufacturing, and easy access north and south.

Mitchell and Yankton

Dakota Wesleyan University is in Mitchell and Mount Marty University is in Yankton, with the Missouri River nearby.

Pierre and Central South Dakota

The state capital, on the river, with a small and tightly held market.

Questions worth asking your South Dakota agent

Hail, radon and water in the basement are the routine three here. In the Hills, add access and fire.

  • How old is the roof, and has it been replaced after hail? Ask what that means for insurance on this particular house, not just in general.
  • Has the house been tested for radon? Much of South Dakota reads high, so this is standard here rather than unusual.
  • How does the basement handle heavy rain and spring snowmelt? Ask about sump pumps and any history of water.
  • What are the property taxes on this home? Ask your agent to pull the actual figures.
  • How is the house heated, how old is the system, and what does a winter cost?
  • For acreages: well, septic, who plows the road, and whether it’s county-maintained.
  • In the Black Hills: what’s the wildfire picture, how steep is the driveway, and can I get an insurance quote early?
  • If farm ground comes with the property, ask your agent to confirm exactly what conveys with the sale.

How the referral works

1. Tell us about your move. Where you’re buying or selling, your timeline, and anything that matters to you about who you work with.

2. We find the right fit. We review your request and match you with an agent in your specific market — not a call center, and not whoever paid the most.

3. You meet your agent. We make the introduction. If it isn’t the right fit, tell us and we’ll find someone else.

What this costs you

Nothing. There is no fee to the buyer or seller, ever.

We’re paid a referral fee by the agent after a successful closing — which means we only do well when you’re genuinely well served. It also means we have no reason to push you toward anyone who isn’t right for your situation.

How we choose agents

Shared faith is the starting point, not the qualification. Every agent in the network is a licensed, actively practicing professional with real transaction experience in the market they serve.

We look for people who communicate honestly about price, who will tell you when a house is a mistake, and who treat the work as service rather than a sale. Read more about what we do and see what clients have said.

Common questions

What if I’m relocating from out of state?
That’s one of the most common requests we handle. We’ll connect you with an agent who works with relocating families regularly and understands remote buying.

Am I obligated to use the agent you recommend?
No. Meet them, and if it isn’t a fit, let us know.

Do you help with selling as well as buying?
Yes — and with both at once, which is the situation most families are actually in.

Is this only for Christians?
No. Anyone is welcome to use the service. Our agents serve all clients professionally and in full compliance with Fair Housing law.

How quickly will I hear from someone?
We review every request personally rather than routing it automatically, and we aim to make the introduction quickly. You’ll hear from us either way.

South Dakota questions

Do you cover all of South Dakota?
We work across the state — Sioux Falls, Rapid City and the Black Hills, Brookings, Aberdeen, Watertown, Mitchell, Yankton and Pierre. Tell us your market and we’ll tell you honestly whether we have strong coverage there.

We’re a military family moving to Ellsworth. Can you help?
Yes. Ellsworth brings families into the Rapid City area year-round, and Box Elder and east Rapid City behave differently from the west side and the Hills. Tell us your report date when you reach out, and we’ll match you with an agent who handles military moves regularly.
