Maine markets we serve

Greater Portland

Portland, South Portland, Scarborough, Falmouth, Cape Elizabeth, Westbrook and Yarmouth. The state’s strongest and fastest-moving market.

York County and the Southern Coast

Kennebunk, Wells, Ogunquit, York, Saco and Biddeford. Close enough to Boston to draw weekenders, with a seasonal rhythm to the market.

The Midcoast

Brunswick, Bath, Wiscasset, Damariscotta, Rockland, Camden and Belfast. Bath Iron Works is a major year-round employer, and the harbor towns north of it draw retirees and second-home buyers.

Lewiston and Auburn

Central, practical and among the more affordable housing in southern Maine.

Augusta and the Kennebec Valley

The state capital, plus Waterville and the smaller towns along the river.

Bangor and Eastern Maine

Bangor, Brewer, Hampden and Orono. The University of Maine is in Orono and Husson University is in Bangor.

Downeast and Acadia

Ellsworth, Blue Hill, Bar Harbor and Mount Desert Island. Heavily seasonal, with very limited year-round inventory.

The Western Mountains and Lakes

Bridgton, Naples, Sebago Lake and the Sunday River area. Ski country and lake camps.

Aroostook County

Presque Isle, Caribou and Houlton. Farming country, long winters, and the lowest prices in the state.

Questions worth asking your Maine agent

Two Maine questions catch out-of-state buyers more than any others: whether you can actually get to the property in February, and whether the house is built to be lived in year-round.

  • Is the road to this property maintained and plowed year-round, and who pays for it? Many Maine properties sit on private roads, and the answer matters every winter.
  • Is this house built and permitted for year-round use, or is it a seasonal camp? Ask directly — the difference affects insulation, plumbing, insurance and financing.
  • Is the house on a well and septic? If septic, when was it last inspected? If a well, ask whether the water has been tested and what it was tested for.
  • Has the house been tested for radon in both air and water? Ask about both, not just air.
  • How is the house heated, how old is the system, and what does a winter actually cost? Ask whether there’s a heat pump in addition to the primary system.
  • For an older house: what’s been done about insulation and windows, and what’s the condition of the roof?
  • For waterfront: is the frontage deeded to this property or a shared right-of-way, and what do the shoreland rules here allow for docks and for cutting trees?
  • On the coast: what flood zone is the property in, what does insurance run, and has erosion been an issue along this stretch?
  • If rental income is part of your plan, ask what this particular town allows for short-term rentals before you count on it.

How the referral works

1. Tell us about your move. Where you’re buying or selling, your timeline, and anything that matters to you about who you work with.

2. We find the right fit. We review your request and match you with an agent in your specific market — not a call center, and not whoever paid the most.

3. You meet your agent. We make the introduction. If it isn’t the right fit, tell us and we’ll find someone else.

What this costs you

Nothing. There is no fee to the buyer or seller, ever.

We’re paid a referral fee by the agent after a successful closing — which means we only do well when you’re genuinely well served. It also means we have no reason to push you toward anyone who isn’t right for your situation.

How we choose agents

Shared faith is the starting point, not the qualification. Every agent in the network is a licensed, actively practicing professional with real transaction experience in the market they serve.

We look for people who communicate honestly about price, who will tell you when a house is a mistake, and who treat the work as service rather than a sale. Read more about what we do and see what clients have said.

Common questions

What if I’m relocating from out of state?
That’s one of the most common requests we handle. We’ll connect you with an agent who works with relocating families regularly and understands remote buying.

Am I obligated to use the agent you recommend?
No. Meet them, and if it isn’t a fit, let us know.

Do you help with selling as well as buying?
Yes — and with both at once, which is the situation most families are actually in.

Is this only for Christians?
No. Anyone is welcome to use the service. Our agents serve all clients professionally and in full compliance with Fair Housing law.

How quickly will I hear from someone?
We review every request personally rather than routing it automatically, and we aim to make the introduction quickly. You’ll hear from us either way.

Maine questions

Do you cover all of Maine?
We work across the state — Greater Portland, York County, the Midcoast, Lewiston-Auburn, Augusta, Bangor and eastern Maine, Downeast, the western mountains and Aroostook County. Tell us your market and we’ll tell you honestly whether we have strong coverage there.

We want a place on the water in Maine. What should we be careful about?
Mostly the gap between a summer place and a house. A camp that’s wonderful in July can be unreachable in February, expensive to heat, and harder to finance than buyers expect. Ask early whether the road is plowed, whether the house is built for year-round use, and what the water frontage actually conveys. A local agent who knows the difference will tell you before you make an offer, not after.
