Alaska markets we serve

Anchorage

The Hillside, Midtown, South Anchorage and Eagle River. Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson is here, and Alaska Pacific University is in the city.

The Mat-Su Valley

Palmer, Wasilla, Big Lake and Houston. More land for the money than Anchorage, and a real commute if you work in town.

Fairbanks and the Interior

Fairbanks, North Pole and Delta Junction. Fort Wainwright and Eielson Air Force Base anchor the area, the University of Alaska Fairbanks is here, and winters are in a category of their own.

The Kenai Peninsula

Kenai, Soldotna, Sterling, Homer and Seward. Fishing, retirees and second homes. Alaska Christian College is in Soldotna.

Juneau and Southeast

The state capital, plus Ketchikan, Sitka and Petersburg. No road connection to the rest of the state, and a great deal of rain.

Kodiak

A Coast Guard community with a market all its own.

Valdez, Cordova and the Smaller Communities

Smaller year-round markets, some of them reached only by boat or plane.

Questions worth asking your Alaska agent

Alaska is the state where the ordinary questions matter least and the specific ones matter most. These are the ones to ask first.

  • Is the property on the road system, and is that road maintained and plowed through winter? Ask who is responsible for it.
  • Where does the water come from, and where does the waste go? Ask whether it’s city service, a well and septic, or hauled water and a holding tank — the answer changes daily life.
  • Is this property built on permafrost, and what has that meant for the foundation? Ask about any history of settling, jacking or releveling.
  • How is the house heated, how old is the system, and what does a winter cost? Ask about fuel delivery and whether there’s a backup heat source.
  • Is the house genuinely winterized? Ask about insulation, the arctic entry, water line protection and how the crawlspace is handled.
  • Should I be thinking about earthquake coverage, and has the house been retrofitted?
  • In the Interior and the Mat-Su: what’s the wildfire picture, and can I get an insurance quote early?
  • In river and coastal communities: what flood zone is the property in, and has erosion been an issue along this stretch?
  • In Southeast: does the property have road access, or is it boat or float-plane access only? And how does the lot handle that much rain?

How the referral works

1. Tell us about your move. Where you’re buying or selling, your timeline, and anything that matters to you about who you work with.

2. We find the right fit. We review your request and match you with an agent in your specific market — not a call center, and not whoever paid the most.

3. You meet your agent. We make the introduction. If it isn’t the right fit, tell us and we’ll find someone else.

What this costs you

Nothing. There is no fee to the buyer or seller, ever.

We’re paid a referral fee by the agent after a successful closing — which means we only do well when you’re genuinely well served. It also means we have no reason to push you toward anyone who isn’t right for your situation.

How we choose agents

Shared faith is the starting point, not the qualification. Every agent in the network is a licensed, actively practicing professional with real transaction experience in the market they serve.

We look for people who communicate honestly about price, who will tell you when a house is a mistake, and who treat the work as service rather than a sale. Read more about what we do and see what clients have said.

Common questions

What if I’m relocating from out of state?
That’s one of the most common requests we handle. We’ll connect you with an agent who works with relocating families regularly and understands remote buying.

Am I obligated to use the agent you recommend?
No. Meet them, and if it isn’t a fit, let us know.

Do you help with selling as well as buying?
Yes — and with both at once, which is the situation most families are actually in.

Is this only for Christians?
No. Anyone is welcome to use the service. Our agents serve all clients professionally and in full compliance with Fair Housing law.

How quickly will I hear from someone?
We review every request personally rather than routing it automatically, and we aim to make the introduction quickly. You’ll hear from us either way.

More answers are on our FAQs page.

Alaska questions

Do you cover all of Alaska?
We work across the state — Anchorage and Eagle River, the Mat-Su Valley, Fairbanks and the Interior, the Kenai Peninsula, Juneau and Southeast, and Kodiak. Alaska is many separate markets rather than one. Tell us where you’re looking and we’ll tell you honestly whether we have strong coverage there.

We’re a military family moving to JBER, Wainwright or Eielson. Can you help?
Yes, and it’s one of the most common moves we handle here. Alaska is a harder PCS than most because so much depends on details that don’t show up in photographs — how a house is heated, whether its water is hauled, what the commute is like in December. Tell us your report date and where you’ll be reporting, and we’ll match you with an agent who handles these moves regularly and will tell you the truth about a property.
