Oregon markets we serve

Portland

Distinct neighborhoods on both sides of the Willamette River, from older homes in the east side to hillside properties in the west. Housing varies a great deal block by block.

Portland’s Suburbs

Beaverton, Hillsboro, Tigard, Lake Oswego, West Linn, Happy Valley and Gresham. The west side is driven by technology employment, and families come for schools and newer neighborhoods.

Newberg and the Yamhill Valley

Newberg, McMinnville and Sherwood, in wine country southwest of Portland. George Fox University is in Newberg.

Salem and the Mid-Valley

Salem, Keizer, Albany and Corvallis. State government, Oregon State University and better value than Portland. Corban University is in Salem.

Eugene and Springfield

The University of Oregon and a relaxed, outdoors-oriented market at the south end of the Willamette Valley.

Bend and Central Oregon

Bend, Redmond and Sisters. Sunny, dry and one of the most popular relocation destinations in the West.

Southern Oregon and the Coast

Medford, Ashland and Grants Pass in the Rogue Valley, and small towns along the coast from Astoria to Brookings.

Questions worth asking your Oregon agent

Oregon’s mix of rain, forest, high desert and coastline raises questions buyers from other states don’t always think to ask.

  • Can I get a homeowners insurance quote early? In wildfire-prone parts of the state, availability and cost have become part of the decision.
  • Should I be considering earthquake coverage, and has the house been retrofitted?
  • How old is the roof, and how are moss and drainage handled? West of the Cascades, the wet season is hard on both.
  • For rural and acreage properties: well, septic and water rights. Ask early and ask specifically.
  • On the coast: what’s the flood and erosion picture for this property?
  • If I’ll live in Oregon and work in Washington, or the reverse, what should I ask a tax professional?

How the referral works

1. Tell us about your move. Where you’re buying or selling, your timeline, and anything that matters to you about who you work with.

2. We find the right fit. We review your request and match you with an agent in your specific market — not a call center, and not whoever paid the most.

3. You meet your agent. We make the introduction. If it isn’t the right fit, tell us and we’ll find someone else.

What this costs you

Nothing. There is no fee to the buyer or seller, ever.

We’re paid a referral fee by the agent after a successful closing — which means we only do well when you’re genuinely well served. It also means we have no reason to push you toward anyone who isn’t right for your situation.

How we choose agents

Shared faith is the starting point, not the qualification. Every agent in the network is a licensed, actively practicing professional with real transaction experience in the market they serve.

We look for people who communicate honestly about price, who will tell you when a house is a mistake, and who treat the work as service rather than a sale. Read more about what we do and see what clients have said.

Common questions

What if I’m relocating from out of state?
That’s one of the most common requests we handle. We’ll connect you with an agent who works with relocating families regularly and understands remote buying.

Am I obligated to use the agent you recommend?
No. Meet them, and if it isn’t a fit, let us know.

Do you help with selling as well as buying?
Yes — and with both at once, which is the situation most families are actually in.

Is this only for Christians?
No. Anyone is welcome to use the service. Our agents serve all clients professionally and in full compliance with Fair Housing law.

How quickly will I hear from someone?
We review every request personally rather than routing it automatically, and we aim to make the introduction quickly. You’ll hear from us either way.

Oregon questions

Do you cover all of Oregon?
We work across the state — Portland and its suburbs, the Willamette Valley, Bend, Southern Oregon and the coast. Tell us your market and we’ll tell you honestly whether we have strong coverage there.

We’re relocating to Bend from out of state. What should we know?
Bend is one of the most common relocation destinations in the West, and it moves quickly. Ask a prospective agent how they handle buyers who are still out of state, and talk early about neighborhoods, commute and what you need from a church community.
