Louisiana markets we serve

New Orleans and Jefferson Parish

Uptown, Lakeview, Gentilly, Metairie and Kenner. Historic homes, raised cottages and shotguns, with neighborhoods that vary block by block. New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary is in Gentilly.

The Northshore

Mandeville, Covington, Madisonville and Slidell across Lake Pontchartrain. A favorite with families for schools, space and a slower pace.

Baton Rouge

Baton Rouge, Prairieville, Zachary, Central and Denham Springs. State government, LSU and the petrochemical industry make for a steady market.

Lafayette and Acadiana

Lafayette, Youngsville, Broussard and Breaux Bridge. Cajun culture, deep church roots and a strong sense of community.

Shreveport–Bossier

Shreveport, Bossier City and Benton. Barksdale Air Force Base anchors a stable, affordable northwest Louisiana market.

Lake Charles and Southwest Louisiana

Industry, rebuilding and new construction after recent hurricanes. Worth working with an agent who knows which homes were repaired well.

Monroe, Ruston and Central Louisiana

Louisiana Tech in Ruston, and Alexandria and Pineville, home to Louisiana Christian University.

Questions worth asking your Louisiana agent

In much of Louisiana, water is the first question, not the last. Ask early, before you’re attached to a house.

  • What flood zone is this property in, and has the house ever taken on water? Ask what flood insurance would likely cost, even if the zone looks low-risk.
  • How high is the house above the street, and has it been raised?
  • Can I get a homeowners and wind insurance quote early in the process?
  • Has the house had a termite inspection? Termites are a serious issue in much of south Louisiana, so this is a routine question.
  • For homes repaired after a storm: who did the work, and what was replaced?

How the referral works

1. Tell us about your move. Where you’re buying or selling, your timeline, and anything that matters to you about who you work with.

2. We find the right fit. We review your request and match you with an agent in your specific market — not a call center, and not whoever paid the most.

3. You meet your agent. We make the introduction. If it isn’t the right fit, tell us and we’ll find someone else.

What this costs you

Nothing. There is no fee to the buyer or seller, ever.

We’re paid a referral fee by the agent after a successful closing — which means we only do well when you’re genuinely well served. It also means we have no reason to push you toward anyone who isn’t right for your situation.

How we choose agents

Shared faith is the starting point, not the qualification. Every agent in the network is a licensed, actively practicing professional with real transaction experience in the market they serve.

We look for people who communicate honestly about price, who will tell you when a house is a mistake, and who treat the work as service rather than a sale. Read more about what we do and see what clients have said.

Common questions

What if I’m relocating from out of state?
That’s one of the most common requests we handle. We’ll connect you with an agent who works with relocating families regularly and understands remote buying.

Am I obligated to use the agent you recommend?
No. Meet them, and if it isn’t a fit, let us know.

Do you help with selling as well as buying?
Yes — and with both at once, which is the situation most families are actually in.

Is this only for Christians?
No. Anyone is welcome to use the service. Our agents serve all clients professionally and in full compliance with Fair Housing law.

How quickly will I hear from someone?
We review every request personally rather than routing it automatically, and we aim to make the introduction quickly. You’ll hear from us either way.

Louisiana questions

Do you cover all of Louisiana?
We work across the state — New Orleans and the Northshore, Baton Rouge, Acadiana, Shreveport and the smaller markets in between. Tell us your market and we’ll tell you honestly whether we have strong coverage there.

We’re worried about flooding. How should we approach buying in Louisiana?
Ask early and ask specifically. A good local agent will help you look at the flood zone, the elevation, the home’s history and real insurance quotes before you make an offer — and will tell you plainly if a house isn’t worth the risk.
